Features

A guided, local migration workflow that keeps you in control before every write to the destination account.

  • Prepare with clarity. Derova analyzes supported playlists and presents a summary before anything starts.
  • Control every step. Source and destination accounts remain separate, blocked items stay visible, and writes are additive.
  • Resume safely. Local progress lets you continue after an interruption without blindly replaying an ambiguous operation.

Compatibility

Current availability and the V1 roadmap are presented separately.

  • Available now — YouTube / YouTube Music. The implemented workflow migrates supported private, unlisted, and public playlists between two Google accounts.
  • Planned for V1 — Spotify. The connector is still in development, and Spotify migration is not available today.
  • Planned for V1 — Apple Music. The connector is still in development, and Apple Music migration is not available today.

The V1 goal is migration across every supported combination of YouTube Music, Spotify, and Apple Music. This destination matrix is a roadmap, not a statement of current compatibility.

How it works

  1. Connect the relevant accounts. SOURCE and DESTINATION roles remain separate to prevent confusion.
  2. Review the migration. Derova prepares a local plan and presents playlists, limitations, and blocked items.
  3. Confirm the writes. Nothing is created on the destination before your explicit action.
  4. Track or resume. State is persisted locally so work can resume safely after closing the app or an interruption.

Why Derova

  • Local-first. Migration data and tokens are not sent to a Derova backend.
  • Non-destructive. The current workflow creates and adds content; it does not delete remote playlists.
  • Transparent. Unsupported functions and blocked matches remain visible.
  • Designed for Windows. The desktop application orchestrates migration on your computer with local storage and explicit controls.

Product status

The YouTube / YouTube Music workflow already has an advanced implementation: playlist acquisition, review before migration, resumable execution, and cautious reconciliation of uncertain operations.

V1 goal. Bring the same level of control to Spotify and Apple Music without presenting those integrations as available before they are implemented and validated.

FAQ

  • What can I migrate today? Supported YouTube and YouTube Music playlists between two Google accounts. Music libraries, listening history, subscriptions, and liked tracks are outside the current public scope.
  • Does Derova delete content? No. The current workflow is additive and does not delete playlists or their items from connected services.
  • Does my data pass through a Derova server? No. Migration data is processed locally on your device; required communications go directly to the provider services you authorize.
  • Are Spotify and Apple Music available now? No. They are part of the V1 goal and remain in development.
  • Can I download the application? Not yet. The Windows version is not publicly distributed at this stage.
