1. Service description
Music Migrator is a local Windows desktop application that helps a user transfer supported YouTube and YouTube Music playlists between two Google accounts. The V1 workflow retrieves private, unlisted, and public playlist data from the SOURCE account and, after user review and confirmation, creates supported playlists and adds items in the DESTINATION account.
Music Migrator is independent of Google and YouTube. It is not sponsored, endorsed, certified, or provided by Google or YouTube. Google services, APIs, names, and trademarks remain subject to their owners' terms and policies.
2. User authorization
The user must have authority to connect each account and to migrate the selected playlists. Google operations occur only after the user grants the relevant authorization and confirms the migration in Music Migrator.
The user is responsible for reviewing the prepared migration, the selected accounts, unsupported items, and any provider warning before starting or resuming work.
3. Additive and non-destructive behavior
The public V1 performs only the described additive playlist operations: creating destination playlists and adding playlist items. It does not delete remote playlists or playlist items, delete a Google account, or undo a migration automatically.
4. Google service dependency
Music Migrator depends on Google OAuth, Google Data Portability, Google Cloud Storage delivery, and the YouTube Data API. Availability, eligibility, provider behavior, API changes, authorization decisions, rate limits, and quota can delay, limit, or prevent an operation. Music Migrator cannot guarantee provider availability or that every source item can be migrated.
5. Local data and account security
The user is responsible for protecting access to the Windows account, connected Google accounts, and any external Takeout files. Local data controls and deletion effects are described in the Privacy Policy and data deletion instructions.
The user must not provide credentials, tokens, signed archive URLs, or private exports to support unless a future secure support process explicitly requests a narrowly defined item.
6. Changes and termination
The supported feature set may change when Google APIs, policies, or product safety requirements change. Users may stop using Music Migrator, disconnect local credentials, and erase application-owned local data using the provided controls.
